CUSTOMER

Our Customer is a Seattle-based company named SkyKick. Helping IT providers be more successful in the cloud, SkyKick plays an important role in the Microsoft cosmos. Over 20,000 IT partners in over 125 countries are accelerating their cloud businesses with our client SkyKick.

 

PROJECT

The product being developed together with Sigma Software is called Cloud Manager and it is intended to facilitate and centralize management of different SaaS cloud subscriptions for small and medium-sized businesses.

 

Project’s main goal is to automate common IT tasks like on/offboarding users, password resets, and enforcing security policies as well as to facilitate the administration of Office 365, Azure AD, and many other SaaS applications used by clients.

 

One of the most important parts being done by Sigma Software in scope of the whole project is to develop so-called connectors – integration points to 3rd party SaaS applications like Dropbox, Slack, WebEx, etc. There is a need in hundreds of connectors.

 

Another big part that is currently ongoing is to develop and deliver complex enhancements to the product.

 

The customer expects technical- and process-wise ideas and best practices from our team. Thus, this project is full with opportunities to brainstorm, discuss pros and cons, define ways of resolving technical challenges with their following implementation in practice.

 

The sub-team on Sigma Software’s side include 5 people at the current project stage - a Project Coordinator, 2 Senior Developers and 2 Middle Developers. In future the team may grow to 6-7 and more people.

 

We are following a Kanban-based process and you should expect daily status meetings with Customer.

 

Technologies: C#, Power Shell, .NET Core, MS Azure, RESTful APIs.

 

REQUIREMENTS

At least 3 years of experience in commercial software development

Solid knowledge and proper usage of Object-Oriented Programming and Design

Experience in writing clean code in C# following best practices and guidelines

Good knowledge and experience of working with .NET Core

PowerShell Core knowledge and experience will be a big plus

Angular experience will be a big plus

At least Intermediate level of English

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design separate components (so-called “connectors”) to automate the process of providing access to a different kind of office software

Code, debug, document, and maintain software components (“connectors”)

Design and develop the enhancements to the product

Participate in peer code and design reviews

Perform unit and integration testing

Participate in estimation and planning sessions

Contribute to requirements gathering and analysis

Promote good design principles such as code reuse, modularity, and extensibility

Contribute to the development of technical project documentation

Participate in daily meetings with the Customer from the USA

Report status and progress
