Team Lead Back-End (Python) Engineer #8567 (offline)

Our client is a fintech company building an enterprise-grade financial technology platform. It aims to accelerate fintech innovation, enabling brands to partner with banks through efficient, compliant, and scalable technology.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hold the Team Leader role, manage 4+ people cross-functional team
Take ownership of design and development of all aspects of high-quality client facing API contract (including versioning, documentation, security, API gateway, and testing etc.)
Develop and support client-facing and internal REST APIs for fintech platform microservices project
Work in a close contact with team members and project stakeholders on client’s side
Provide system or technical development expertise to the team
Take part in requirements analysis and provide estimates
Perform code review of other team members
Research and evaluate technical options to implement business requirements
Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product
Provides encouragement and feedback to team members, oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance
Assists management with hiring processes and new team member training
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
MUST HAVE:
Experience with leading a team of 4+ engineers
5+ years of commercial Python development
Strong OOD skills
Experience with API documentation
Experience with Python web stack (Django, Django ORM, Flask, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy or similar)
Experience with PostgreSQL
Experience with Docker
Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies
Upper-intermediate level of English
WOULD BE A PLUS:
Experience with Python 3.7+
Experience with asynchronous ORM frameworks
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
Experience with Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning
Understanding of CI/CD practices, experience with CircleCI or similar
Experience with monitoring and alerting practices and tools (Sentry, DataDog or similar)
Hands-on with AWS Platform services and tools
Understanding of BDD practices
