Junior Java Developer (offline)

Project Description
Nordstrom.com is one of the largest retail e-commerce companies in North America. The Store Foundation Team is responsible for the set of services that are used daily by internal users (salespeople at stores, fulfillment centers, etc.). Also, the team is building the shared components which are reused by other products/teams. Products in the team's portfolio are not really new. Though the team has full control over them and the customer is encouraging to do what's right to ensure that services meet modern engineering standards. Overall, if you like to communicate with customers and explore how things work at complex infrastructure, this might be the right project for you

Responsibilities
- Understand business priorities and requirements;
- Collaborate with the team to come up with optimal technical solutions;
- Write reliable and scalable code;
- Ensure solid test coverage;
- Embrace the CI/CD principles;
- Do meaningful code reviews;
- Take ownership of system quality;

Skills Required
- Good written and spoken English, excellent communication;
- Production experience with Java;
- Experience with databases (e.g. Oracle);
- Understanding of AWS (EC2, Route53, IAM, ELB);
- Docker experience;
- Kubernetes experience is highly desirable;
- Spring experience is a plus;
