Lead/Senior Data Engineer (offline)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Being responsible for defining, designing, modeling, implementing, and operating large, evolving, structured, and unstructured datasets;
- Working with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems;
- Optimising business, engineering, and data processes via data architecture, engineering, testing, and operational excellence best practices;
- Interfacing with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using AWS big data technologies;
- Performing design & code reviews for team members;
- Assisting DevOps Team in configuring, operating, and maintaining our infrastructure environment;
- Evaluation and coordination task deadlines with Engineering Manager (or VP of Engineering).

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing roles;
- Database experience, including knowledge of storage internals of SQL and NoSQL services;
- Experience in building ETLs;
- Proficient in designing efficient and robust ETL/ELT workflows, schedulers, and event-based triggers;
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies;
- Working experience on AWS: Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, or Athena etc;
- Experience in designing and building data models to improve accessibility, efficiency, and quality of data;
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
