Scrum Master (offline)

Scrum Masters with Dev-Better serve as facilitators of our Scrum Process.
At its core, the Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating the scrum ceremonies of 1-2 teams. To do so requires an understanding of agile first principles and deep knowledge of scrum procedures to achieve the goals of each meeting.
As a guardian of the scrum team, they will be responsible for addressing interest and concerns from stakeholders outside of the scrum team in between scheduled ceremonies.
To remove impediments and blockers, they will be able to recognize when involvement from outside the scrum team is necessary.  Responsible for the facilitation of successful solutions to these issues, they will maintain healthy relationships with both the technical and product sides of the business.
Success in this role will be measured by increases in team efficiency with respect to the predictable release of user value.

What you’ll do:
- Own the calendar of the scrum team, including booking and inviting participants to the scrum ceremonies.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies successfully, as measured by achieving ceremony goals (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Demos, Sprint Review, and Retrospective)
- Serve as a touchpoint for all status related requests, without the need to involve the developers
- Responsible to negotiate solutions and removing impediments on behalf of the scrum team.
- Advocate for best practice with respect to board cleanliness and performing this function when needed
- Actively participate in Dev-Better agile chapter through knowledge sharing

What you have:
- 2yrs + Scrum Master experience in any well-known software environment.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices.
- Knowledge of agile methodology
- Knowledge about user stories, estimation, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, etc.
- Basic knowledge of some or most of the following: Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, Domain Driven Development and Test Driven Development Continuous Testing
- Coaching ability to elevate agile knowledge and practice across the team
- Can identify when work is not shaped in an iterative and incremental development way.
- Familiar with Atlassian’s Jira project management tool
