Senior DevOps Engineer (Lead) (offline) from $3000

The Role:

- Managing existing infrastructure;
- Upgrading and improving the overall architecture;
- Describing architecture with Terraform/CloudFormation;
- Eventual management of a DevOps team (to be hired by candidate);
- Reporting on project status;
- Writing technical documentation for the architecture.

Skills and Experience:

- Hands-on experience with AWS (RDS, Lambda, Route53, EC2, autoscaling, spot instances, DynamoDB, CodeDeploy, etc.);
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps/cloud administration in high load systems in production;
- Good understanding and knowledge of scripting (bash or similar);
- Solid understanding of networking, autoscaling architectures (kubernetes, etc.), and serverless architectures;
- Understanding of how to work with high load systems;
- Understanding on how to set up a cloud-based CI/CD pipeline for an autoscaling cluster;
- Responsiveness and responsibility;
- Sufficient technical English knowledge to communicate with internal English-speaking team, as well as external support (e.g. AWS support);
- Good knowledge of Terraform and/or CloudFormation, and a good understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts.

It will be a plus:

- At least rudimentary PHP/Python knowledge.
