Technical Writer (offline)

Requirements:
• Advanced/Proficient English
• An experience in writing technical and user-oriented documentation for software products (at least 2 year experience as Technical Writer)
• Strong editing/writing skills
• Knowledge of documentation development workflow and instructional design techniques
• Communication skills
• Candidate should be able to work on multiple complex projects


Desirable skills/experience:
• Knowledge of the processes involved in documentation development
• Knowledge of UI design standards
• Knowledge of basic documentation standards
• Knowledge of Help Authoring Tools (such as, for example: Adobe RoboHelp, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Author IT, Help&Manual, WebWorks ePublisher)
• General understanding of the “single-source” and “re-use” approaches
• Ability to create and process illustrations (knowledge of image capturing and processing tools)
• Basic HTML knowledge

Responsibilities:
• Write and proof-read own, as well as, co-workers’ documentation for content, format, design and style
• Should be able to work with minimal supervision and have strong work initiative
• Adhere to style and help create and maintain corporate style
• Interpret functional and technical specification documents and produce end-user documentation
• Collaborate with development team on content and function of the documentation
• Work tightly in a team environment with developers, testers, project managers
