Ruby Labs Ltd (RL) is a fast-growing start-up established in London in 2018. RL operates the biggest astrology mobile app with the mission to educate people by simplifying astrology for greater awareness, and on its track to launch the mobile fitness app in early 2021.

The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Manual QA Engineer, who will join our team and participate in delivering high-quality products (Hint / Able) across the Web platform. Working alongside developers and will be responsible for mobile and API testing, test case creation, and execution. We require a person with a passion for collaborative problem solving, and a willingness to deliver products with the highest quality.

Responsibilities
Review requirements specifications and design documents
Create test plans, test suits, and test cases
Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
Identify, document and track bugs
Perform regression testing
Present testing results and progress to management team
Manage risks and issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
About You
5+ years of experience in software testing, minimum 3 years of commercial experience in manual testing.
3+ years of experience in Web application testing. Mobile-first.
Knowledge of Automated test tools.
Knowledge of website technologies including CSS/ HTML and frameworks.
Have experience working with any of the following from a software testing perspective: JavaScript / React/ Java
Experience in backend/API testing (using Postman, Swagger)
Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle
Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills
Good communication skills
General working knowledge of QA testing software, QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience in writing test plans and test cases
Strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines whilst effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment
Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence
Strong communications skills
Nice to have
Previous experience as a Test Manager
Previous SCRUM master experience
Expertise in mobile app testing iOS / Android
Testing certification from the BCS
