Who are we and what do we do?
FreySoft is a technology partner of an international FinTech company with branches in Britain, Poland, and Spain employing 800+ people. Our client's product is a platform for international payments in more than 150 countries: a mobile application that is used by more than 4 million people with hundreds of thousands daily transactions!


How old is the project and what is the current stage of the project?
Over the last 2 years, the monolithic architecture has been transformed into more than 400 microservices. The new functionality that we create helps to reduce the cost of transactions for money transfers. Our specialists develop, test, and support APIs. Also, FreySoft integrates applications with payment systems and other external services, which will be the main area of responsibility of this role.


What technologies do we use?
The project uses the latest stable versions of languages, frameworks and libraries. Generally speaking, these are Jenkins CI / CD, AWS cloud, SQL, Mongo, Kafka, Java, .NET Core, ReactJS, Kotlin, Swift and others.


What will you have to do?
— Regular and ongoing oral and written communication with company partners
— Requirements gathering and analysis
— Analysis of technical documentation and creation of a work package to be passed on to an assigned developer
— Creation and tracking of epics, user stories, and tasks in Jira
— Regular and ongoing communication with the tech team
— Monitoring of project progress, identification of blockers, and facilitation of their resolutions


Which professional skills are important to us?
— Upper intermediate or higher verbal and written level of English
— Successful work experience of communicating in English on a regular basis both verbally and in writing
— Experience working on fintech projects
— Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, ScrumBan)
— Good analytical thinking skills
— Good understanding of SDLC
— Good understanding of and experience with Requirements Analysis
— Experience in analyzing, documenting, validating and managing software or system requirements
— Good understanding of the concepts of epics, user stories, use cases, etc. and the differences between each
— Good understanding of the concepts of business requirements and software requirements and the difference between them
— Experience working in Jira, good understanding of its functionality and ability to use its standard functions


Will be a plus:
— Technical background (experience as a developer or QA)
— Experience working on projects involving API integrations and microservices
— Experience with response code mapping
— IT Project management experience


Team size and structure
The team reports to the VP of Engineering Programmes and currently consists of 3 Business Analysts, 1 Delivery Manager, and multiple Java, .Net developers, and QA Automation engineers.
