Senior NodeJS Developer (offline)

Project: Customer - is one of the most dynamic and fast-growing businesses in the UK. On a mission to help families enjoy good food, they believe home cooking is important, so we’ve made it simple. They take the hassle out of planning, shopping and cooking, by delivering weekly meals with the ingredients and recipes ready to cook, so there’s no more ‘what’s for dinner’ panic.

All of Customer’s systems are built and hosted through AWS with us very much leveraging AWS’s functionality to speed up development time. We currently use EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, SQS liberally through our system.
At the heart of Customer’s platform is our Core PHP platform. This still powers a large part of our e-commerce experience and used to be our entire platform. Other modules use other technologies, but Oxagile team will work with this e-commerce platform.
Required Skills:
• Data architecture and make best use of tools and services that suit our product needs
• Coding in either NodeJS, TypeScript, building RestAPIs
• Writing efficient SQL queries, ability to analyse and organise raw data
• Event Driven architectures, NoSQL DBs such like AWS services : Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, S3, RDS, Redshift
• English - Upper-Intermediate
Desired Skills:
- Product mind set desired
- Experience with IoT \ ML \ Data Analytics
Responsibilities:
• Have a delivery mindset and experience following Agile principles and Lean methodologies, to keep the deliveries on schedule in line with our milestones ( mainly Kanban)
• Explore the ways to enhance data quality, reliability and scalability of data sources and pipelines
• Identify optimal ways for productionising Data Science algorithms, in a cost efficient way
• ensure product quality through TDD
