Back End Java Developer (offline)

We’re looking for a strong Back End Java Developer to build a product that is intended for school districts (for educators/teachers and students) and there is a lot of Big Data and pipelines.

Requirements:

- Strong backend understanding of Java, SpringBoot, Bootstrap;
- Experience with Kinesis, Spark, Flink, Kafka, Presto or other similar frameworks;
- Experience with Amazon Kinesis Data Streams;
- Stream processing, API development streams;
- Experience building backend data services;
- Think about data systems and services and write high-quality code. We work mostly in Java for stream processing, but our API layers are developed in .NET/C#;
- Upper-intermediate level of English.

Challenges for the developer:

- Design and build real time data pipelines and systems across engineering teams.
- Work with product, design and engineering across the company to build new products or features at large-scale.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
