Intersystems Caché Developer (offline)

About the vacancy

Our client is a large UK investment management company. The team is working closely with business users to support their business processes and to respond to the challenges that businesses meet nowadays: new regulations, new products, and new approaches to doing business.

The engineer will perform integrations with new products in the client's enterprise ecosystem as well as adjust some of the existing systems according to changing requirements.

Note that we hire specialists not to the project, but to the DataArt. If the project is over, or you become uncomfortable in it, you can discuss a transition to another project.

Must have
- Proven track record of developing with Caché Objects/ SQL and good understanding of object-oriented design principles
- Expert level user of the Caché Objectscript programming language
- Understanding the principles of working with data, experience with Caché Data Storage, Caché Objects, Caché SQL, and Caché Server Pages
- Database administration experience (database deployment, fault tolerance, data replication)
- Experience in using Caché tools for integration with other systems and databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
- Experience with Caché Security (roles, policies, etc.)
- Good spoken English

Would be a plus
- InterSystems certification
- Strong SQL skills and experience of database performance tuning
- Skills in automated unit testing
- XML/JSON and web services (Soap/REST)
- Knowledge of Java or Python
- Skills with change management tools (Deltanji)
- Intersystems DeepSee/BI/OLAP/MDX
- Skills working with JavaScript-based frameworks (e.g. Sencha Ext JS)
- Skills working with data visualization
