VAT/ Tax Analyst - Fintech (offline)
This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced high-performance environment at a global fintech company. This company provides online payments and e-commerce solutions for businesses offering their services and goods around the world.
I. Responsibilities:
- Seek out answers to technical points from the legislation and suggest tax planning ideas where these are relevant;
- Support and execute in an accurate and timely way the required ongoing, monthly, quarterly, and annual indirect tax related activities;
- Manage the company’s indirect tax compliance including the preparation and filing of indirect tax returns (including VAT/GST/sales tax returns and other local transactions related filings);
- Review and communicate relevant tax law updates from third party sources to keep abreast of any changes that might impact the business;
- Help to provide cross border advice and support on all aspects of indirect tax including VAT, Sales Taxes and Customs duties, for projects involving finance, real estate, ESS, cross border goods and services, and M&A work to resolve complex and varied issues based on precedent and experience;
- Plan taxes, covering international taxation.
II. Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
- Two to four years of experience in a similar role;
- Understanding of VAT principles and basis for VATs;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
- Strong communication skills; able to present financial analysis and non-financial information;
- A self-starter with the ability to work unaided and to build working relationships with different teams located in different cities around the world;
- Have a strong business acumen.
