Middle Java Developer (offline)

Requirements:

We build an internal tool used by the client’s pre-sales and sales departments. It is used to manage Value-Based Selling content items. Using the tool, sales teams can select a set of products and generate a Powerpoint document of associated content which can be used to make a better sales pitch. Also, the pre-sales team uses the tool to generate a cost-benefit analysis for offerings and again print it into Powerpoint templates.

The project uses React for the frontend layer and Spring Boot on the backend. The project is run using Scrum methodology and sprints of 3 weeks. Also, we adhere to DevOps principles, especially the CI process. The dev team is currently based out of India. And the business sponsors are in the US. So it is expected that candidates be flexible to work with both time zones.

REST API with Spring Boot – must have – 1+ years of experience
- REST API design experience
- Developing 3 layer Spring boot tests
- Experience in writing unit tests for each layer
- Experience with Mockito mocking framework

Spring Data JPA – must have – 1+ years of experience
- Experience in designing JPA entities using JPA annotations
- Experience with Spring Data JPA. Effective usage of Spring Repository interfaces.
- Strong SQL skills. Understands hierarchical data tables and should be able to use Oracle CONNECT_BY or similar to query hierarchical data.

Java 8 Streams and Lambda Features – at least few months experience
- Streams

Experience with File Format APIs – good to have
- Should be able to read and write into PowerPoint File Format using Apache POI or similar Java Library
- If not PowerPoint, other file formats like MS Excel, PDF etc will also be OK.
