Data Engineer, Banking System (offline)

About the vacancy

Our client is a British bank, one of the largest financial services companies in the world. The bank was founded three centuries ago, and today its assets are estimated to be worth trillions of US dollars.

DataArt's experts together with developers on the client's side are creating new banking apps and upgrading the old ones.

The Data Engineer will be a part of the data engineering community to deliver opportunities to support the organization’s strategic direction. The specialist will have the chance to influence the development and strategic direction of data and analytics, and enjoy a rewarding role that provides valuable development opportunities and training.

Must have
- Strong understanding of data usage and dependencies with wider analytical teams/end customers
- Extensive experience in extracting value and features from large scale data using tools such as StreamSets and Informatica
- Experience in ETL technical design, automated data quality testing, QA and Documentation, Data warehousing, and data modelling capabilities.
- Mandatory skills and experience: RDMS such as Teradata and Snowflake, ETL pipelines, Python/PySpark/Spark, Hadoop, SQL, AWS, and Data Wrangling
- Spoken English

Would be a plus
- Oracle, Unix scripting, Java, Cloud, API, NoSQL, Kafka
- Modern code development practices (git, CI/CD, QA, and Documentation)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Good critical thinking and proven problem-solving abilities
