Middle/Senior Android Developer (offline)

As an Android Developer, you will be working in a small mobile team, owning the iOS and Androids apps. The majority of the features are developed for the iOS app, so you’ll collaborate closely with an iOS developer. The company encourages business thinking of the developer, you’ll work collaboratively with other stakeholders across the organization and own the success of deliverables assigned to you as well as mentor team members.

We expect that you are familiar with evolving Android technologies and will leverage them in the app. As far as the app is a long-term product, we pay attention to code quality, aiming to develop strong architecture and dedicating time for refactoring. The app codebase is written in Java & Kotlin (we want to migrate to Kotlin completely), using OkHttp API client and Rx. We use CI/CD with automated visual testing in the cloud. The company overall uses .NET Core, C#, React.js, Node.js, Typescript, SQL Server 2016, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon AWS and MS Azure, Google Analytics, and Power BI. Our ecosystem includes 170 connected applications and services, our main database is 2 TB, our sites handle 1 million visitors a day and 2 billion requests a month, and we release changes to production several times a day.

Responsibilities:
- Implement new functionality
- Maintain the app, update the code to meet fresh approaches in Android OS
- Work in an agile manner, including discussions of the features, early analysis, and close cooperation with the business side
- Do code refactoring and optimization when needed
- Follow and improve CI/CD processes
- Cooperate with QA teammates on automated testing
- Provide high-quality code and participate in code review.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial experience in Android development
- Experience in Java & Kotlin (combining both languages in one project will be an advantage)
- Understanding of Android UI architecture, concepts and evolution
- Background in various design patterns for mobile Apps
- Experience or good knowledge of REST API through OkHttp client and Rx.
