Hardware R&D Director (offline)

Duties and responsibilities:
Setting company technical vision in alignment with CEO and head of respective functions while leading company's technological development
Maintaining a customer-focused outlook to ensure alignment between Company Vision/Strategy and product/service offerings
Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, research, feasibility, development and deployment of mining ecosystems
Identifying competitive advantages and opportunities for mining ecosystem, discovering and developing new systems with improvement of existing systems
Optimizing products for effectiveness, efficiency, and cost performance
Lead the growth and maintenance of the IP/Patent portfolio, including primary interface to inside and outside counsel regarding same
Oversees Innovation Center workflow/processes, improves effectiveness and efficiency
Supervising quality assurance processes, integration and system tests
Mentors engineering team members, implementing and applying best practices for R&D, manufacturing, etc.
Ensures the company's technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations
Develop, analyze & interpret new product drawings/specifications using design or CAD software.
Works closely with CEO, DC Operations, R&D, Chip design, IT teams to define and deliver new offers and enhancements which are competitive to the market in performance and cost.
Studies current and new industry trends, technologies and the competition to stay ahead of the curve
Represents the company at conferences, networking event and in media as the face of our technology development vision

Qualification:
Graduation from university with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, robotics, industrial design or related field
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in technology/mining/engineering field
Minimum 4 years of managerial level experience
Knowledge of the industry
Strong leadership skills
