UI/UX Designer (offline)

We want you to be coachable, ready to adapt to a startup culture and tackling lots of unknowns, as well as willing to explore different design concepts according to the business goals. It might sound abstract, yet it literally is what we need.
Required skills
Your knowledge, skills and experience should include:
— At least 2+ years of product or UI/UX design experience with portfolio to prove it
— Experience of collaboration with the development team
— Understanding HCD principles, knowing UX research methodologies
— Strong technical understanding of subject to communicate design to engineers
— Experience with both web and mobile design
— English — Upper Intermediate/Advanced — this point is a must, since our product owners and managers are English-speaking, and designers are part of the product team
Will be a plus
— Academic certificate in Design/Digital Arts or related field
— Proficiency with prototyping tools (InVision, Principle, etc.)
— Startup experience

— Design necessary workflows according to the selected strategy under supervision of design lead/product manager and with support of your teammates
— Create mockups and final designs for new or updated products’ features
— Participate in product team meetings to contribute to planning and development
— Improve products UX aligned to business goals

About Swivl

Swivl is a US product company with offices in Menlo Park CA, US, and Kyiv, Ukraine, with about 60 employees.

We are growing several products currently. The first one is a complex hardware and software product, Swivl Robot, widely used in K12 and higher education, as well as in business, in America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Three generations (or more than 100 000) of robotic video platforms have been designed, produced and sold by Swivl since 2010, along with corresponding apps and supporting materials (for more, visit swivl.com).

We’ve recently launched our product gosynth.com (ancestor of our previous product letsrecap.com) that revisions the way we listen to each other. Synth is a byte-sized podcasting platform for teams, classes and your passions. It helps create better connections with people and build listening networks.

One more product, an AI driven tool for automatic video production (intercut.ai) to help transform your presentation into a professionally produced video, automatically.

TEAM
There are around 40 employees at the Kyiv office (project and product managers, QAs, designers, developers, devops, product experts etc.) All the Team members started working at the Kyiv office, and currently some of them work remotely from other cities and countries. According to every talents, attitude, skills and interests, each team member can be either allocated to one product, or contribute to all the Swivl projects.
