Java Engineer (offline)

Description:
The client is an industrial asset disposition and management company, that sells heavy industrial equipment and trucks through auctions and other transactional channels. The program consisting of 20+ engineers will include Architecture, Platform and Data Management teams working from offshore and nearshore locations augmenting the existing onsite engineering team.

Job Skill set:
* Significant experience with Java development in area of
cloud-based back-end and/or data-pipeline
development
* Experience with data streaming technologies
(Kafka/ksqIDB, StreamSets, GCP PubSub, AWS Kinesis,
etc.), stream processing, event driven architectures
* Good knowledge of DBMS concepts and SQL
*Good verbal and written skills in English
*Experience with setting-up and maintaining Apache
*Kafka clusters (or similar)

Will be a plus:
* Experience with AWS Infrastructure (or GCP)
* Writing Google Cloud Functions or AWS Lambdas
* Using IntelliJ IDEA

Job Responsibilities:
* Development of data management-related solutions with respect
to streaming data via Kafka
* Contribution to overall GCP-based data pipeline
* Optimization and tuning
* Standards and patterns development
* User guide development and training overviews for supporting
teams
* Participate in work planning and estimation
* Present technical solutions to various stakeholders
