Middle-Senior Python Developer (offline)

Required skills

— 3+ years of professional experience as Python Developer;
— Experience with Django as the main framework;
— Experience with SQL, preferably PostgreSQL;
— Understanding of Docker and CI/CD;
— Deep knowledge of REST APIs;
— Strong sense and knowledge of software quality and tests (TDD, BDD);
— At least Upper-intermediate English.

As a plus

— DevOps experience with Ansible & Docker;
— Experience in maintaining production data pipelines.

Responsibilities

— Build the integration with the software of cities and municipalities;
— Work with our Data Analyst Team to provide production-ready ETL pipelines;
— Develop REST APIs for accessing customer data;
— Build the core data platform and backend for visualization;
— Deploy, monitor, and maintain production services.

Project description

Polyteia — is a smart governance platform for cities and towns in Germany and Europe. We are doing analytics and forecasting different data and developing an easy-to-use visualization for our customers to understand their data better. On top of that there are many other options, like Open Data Access of that data, or building an AI product to recognize/predict trends in data. We want to enable municipal governments to take advantage of their data and base their decisions (e.g. building a school) on them.
