Senior Java Backend Engineer #8677 (offline)

Our client is a US company working in fintech sector and focused on becoming the global standard for modern card issuing. Their journey is about simplifying payments for businesses, and as of now they define modern card issuing category. On this project you’d work with best in class API-first fintech platform written in microservices architecture with hundreds of thousands of production users.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement BE functionality in microservices architecture
Refactor codebase to increase the reliability and performance of a solution
Cover implemented functionality with a sufficient number of tests
Take an active role in architectural discussions
Work closely with Engineering teams
Work in close contact with team members and project stakeholders on the client’s site

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
MUST HAVE:
Strong knowledge of Java programming language (Java 8+)
Strong knowledge of Spring Boot
Good understanding of relational DBs / SQL (MySQL)
Good knowledge of AWS
Experience in Microservice architecture and its patterns
Strong troubleshooting experience

WOULD BE A PLUS:
Commercial experience with Basel
Understanding of Financial sector and Global Finance
