Front-End Engineer for the AI start-up (offline)

The mission of Everguard is to make the world’s industrial environments safer with the help of technology solutions and to drive a paradigm shift in safety from reactive to proactive approaches to reduce the risk of industrial accidents. Backed by one of the world’s leading start-up incubation company and a global industrials conglomerate, Everguard is building a factory safety solution with the help of advanced machine learning and computer vision technologies.

The company is based in Irvine, CA and we are proud that Data Science UA has launched the first R&D center in Ukraine (Kyiv). Our core team is developing the future of industrial safety based on machine learning, computer vision, and IoT and you have a unique possibility to become a part of this.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design user friendly, modern, appealing UI layouts and features
• Collaborate with other team members UI/UX flows and requirements
• Responsive layout design (mobile friendly)
• Development and integration of new components for the Vue.js framework
• Optimize and support application for maximum speed and scalability
• Use of Confluence and JIRA

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-3+ years of Web Development
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS
• Experience in drawing shapes and graphics on images, such as HTML Canvas
• Knowledge of any of following frameworks/libraries: React, Vue, or Angular. (Vue preferred)
• Experience in using Git version control system
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates
• Optimize app for maximum speed and scalability partial / lazy loading small bundle size image handling
• Good Understanding of REST-API
• Experience in Linux commands, command-line networking tools
• Understanding of the importance of writing good automated tests
• Professional written and interpersonal skills
• Use of Confluence and JIRA to collaborate with remote team members

Will be a plus:
• Good understanding of AWS services
• Good understanding of Docker
• Good understanding of Web Security and Performance
