Key Ruby on Rails developer (offline)

Our client is a fully integrated Canadian consumer and business logistics & fulfillment company providing cost-effective, technology-first solutions to seamlessly manage and securely store inventory, fulfill e-Commerce orders and deliver best in class customer experiences.

The client is looking to expand its team by opening an opportunity in Ukraine for a mature Ruby on Rails developer with superb problem-solving skills.

You will contribute as part of the client's growing senior engineering team by being the bridge between design and development, ensuring the functional execution and support for the client's existing websites and web applications. Essentially, you will be designing, implementing, and launching both user and team facing features to enhance the overall logistics product experience by writing testable backend code that is easily maintainable and scalable.

Required skillset:

- Solid hands-on experience (5+ years) in Ruby on Rails development
- 3+ years of coding API applications
- Experience in building high-scale cloud services
- Aptitude for making and defending architecture proposals, discussing already existing architecture decisions and concepts
- Performing code reviews
- Upper-intermediate or higher level of English (both writing and speaking)
- Readiness to take on technical leadership for a team of geographically distributed engineers

Nice-to-have skillset:

- Advanced or higher level of English (both writing and speaking)
- Past technical leadership experience, willingness to mentor less experienced colleagues
