Senior Data Scientist (healthcare) (offline)

YOU ARE
Demonstrating such proficient experience as:
• PhD, or Master in biomedical informatics, biostatistics, computer science, computational biology, genomics, genetics, or a related field
• Statistical methodologies such as predictive modeling and inference, machine learning methods, mixed-effects models, multivariate analysis, etc.
• Advanced hands-on knowledge of R or Python or SAS
• Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL/Oracle/Postgres)
• Ability to work with structured and unstructured data
• Cloud Computing environments (e.g. AWS) is preferred
• Understanding of software development life cycles
• Upper-Intermediate English level or higher (oral/written)
Your big advantages reveal in such expertise as:
• At least 2 years in pharmaceutical, biotechnological, healthcare, or academic environment
• At least 2 years in computational analysis of clinical data in observational healthcare studies using hospital-linked EMR/EHR data
• Genetic, genomic and proteomics data analysis, including raw data processing and modeling of processed/normalized data, and familiarity with various technological platforms.
• Analyzing data from traditional healthcare databases (electronic medical records, clinical trials, etc.) is preferred
• Developing deep learning (DL) architectures and familiarity with at least one DL library (e.g., Tensorflow, Theano, PyTorch, Caffe)
• NLP and text mining
• OHDSI OMOP tools
• Developing AI models for real-world environments and in integrating ML into large-scale production applications
• Development Tools (SVN, Git)
YOU WANT TO WORK WITH
• Communicating with stakeholders to identify use cases, gather requirements, and set up expectations
• Developing statistical analysis protocols and provide analytical and methodological expertise on studies for both disease modeling and clinical trials
• Analyzing longitudinal time series data for characterizing disease trajectory, disease progression, medication adverse event episodes, drug resistance, and disease comorbidities
• Building predictive models for disease diagnosis and prognostics, develop predictive models from EMR, social-economical, and environmental data using machine learning and deep learning
• Executing real-world data (RWD) analyses using EMR data, registry data, claims data, and publicly available data sources such as SEER
• Providing analytical and statistical support for research performed with billing, claims, wearable, EMR, clinical observational, and registry data
• Performing analysis of various disparate data sources (e.g., EMRs, -omics, imaging), in order to determine their interrelation, and how best to integrate and leverage them for research and quality purposes.
• Developing and applying Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools to extract meaningful knowledge from the free-text clinical notes
• Delivery of rapid prototypes and proof of concepts that demonstrate real value
• Communicating results, technical constraints, and decisions to the business and non-specialists
• Creating and delivery of progress reports, slide decks, proposals, and documentation
