YOU ARE

- An experienced Software Engineer
- A holder of BS or higher degree, preferably in Computer Science
- Aware of Agile development methodologies
- Experienced in Ruby development
- Familiar with SaaS solutions
- Showing practice working on (cloud-based) high-traffic production applications
- Demonstrating a high level of programming, debugging, and product architecture expertise
- Familiar with dockerized AWS services
- Strong in algorithms, and solving algorithmic tasks
- Having a high level of proactivity and a problem-solving attitude
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- An open person ready to take ownership
- Passionate about technology and education

YOU WANT TO WORK WITH

- A possibility of joining the team that owns the core functionality of a multimedia tool (Studio) that allows instructors and students to collaborate, learn, and create through video and audio
- Developing and maintaining video/audio processing, analytics, and web services, the expected rate of development vs. maintenance is 75/25
- Using Ruby on Rails to write key features to improve teaching and learning
- Learning and using AWS services like EC2, CloudFront, SQS, Lambda, S3, and RDS to provide world-class uptime and performance
- Using CI/CD (test automation, deployment workflow) to improve quality and deployment
- Leading initiatives that drastically improve the quality of the system you
- Coaching and mentoring other engineers
