Senior DevOps Engineer (offline)

Project description:
Our team is responsible for continuous integration, monitoring and support of our highly transactional real-time distributed sportsbook betting product. To satisfy different data policies across the sports betting industry and ensure site reliability and cost effectiveness the system is deployed on distributed self-hosted datacenters with customers based in Europe, South and North America.

As part of the DevOps team you will be working on a solution based on a k8s microservices architecture with more than 500+ virtual machines and 5000+ virtual CPU’s on production environments in total. We use combination of Jenkins, custom Python scripts and Ansible to automate the process. Our focus is system reliability and seamless continuous integration without affecting user experience.

Required skills:
• 3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps role 
• Experience in supporting production systems
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes  
• Good knowledge of Python, Microservices 
• Experience with implementing software CI/CD pipeline — Jenkins, Codefresh or similar
• Configuration management, Ansible, Puppet, Chief or similar
• Experience with monitoring and/or log aggregation systems — ELK, Graylog, Prometheus, Zabbix, PRTG and other
• Great understanding of networking and Nix based operating systems 
• Ability to work across multiple work streams and development projects in an agile environment 
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Excellent communication skills 
• Intermediate English at least

As a plus:
• Experience of using Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Git
• Experience of a developing applications in Python
• Experience of using SQL, Oracle, Mongo
• Experience of using messaging systems — RabbitMQ, Kafka
• Sports Betting terminology and experience

Responsibilities:
• Pro-active participation in process improvement and process automation
• Participate in releases and deployment to various environments
• Maintain well-documented notes for post RCA
• Sustain the process of knowledge sharing with the related teams
• Identify potential problems and risks
• Participate in DevOps related projects
• Communication with B2B licensees and stakeholders
• Provide Out of Hours On Call support
