Cloud Analyst (offline)

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, finances, or operations research
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in technical data analysis, software development, scripting, or any relevant technical background
• Skills in business analytics to translate reporting into actionable recommendations or a strong desire to learn this skillset
• Experience with scripting programming languages and data management tools (excel skills etc)
• Basic knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and tools is an advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate English or higher


Nice to have:
• Cloud Certifications
• Understand AWS billing structure and cost components for the various resource types
• Experience with financial analysis and modeling and related tools and methodologies
• Experience with 3rd party cloud cost optimization tools like CloudHealth, etc.
• Experience in cloud expense management using the FinOps discipline
• Real-world experience with BI and/or cost tracking tools
• Previous technical background as a DevOps engineer


Responsibilities:
• Participate in client’s financial reporting and forecasting, oversee the budget and actual expenditure
• Work cross-functionally and advise on Cloud optimization and cost-saving opportunities
• Implement improvements around automated cost reporting tools and methods
• Develop scripts in python (or another scripting language) for cost analysis and reporting
• Support clients in understanding cloud bills based on their business needs
• Automate common, repeatable tasks at a large scale
• Support ongoing processes and evaluation of KPIs within the cloud
