Live Video Streaming Engineer (offline)

Experience
Experience with one or more of the common streaming protocols – RTMP, RTSP, HLS, MPEG-DASH, CMAF, or WebRTC

Experience with multiple media codecs a plus – h264, h265, VP8, VP9

Basic knowledge of ffmpeg or gstreamer

Strong foundation in OO Design and multithreaded applications

Responsibilities
Lead development of api driven live streaming solution for popular streaming formats, codecs and use-cases

Develop tests live streaming across all current and upcoming platforms to test speed, reliability and scale

Build using the best tools in the livestream ecosystem and continually assess the competitive landscape and emerging trends

Assist with maintenance of infrastructure for live encoding, packaging, and distribution.

Monitor and debug using objective quality assessment, with the goal of highlighting areas for further improvement
