Java Tech Lead for Swiss product company (offline)

Key responsibilities:
β’ Orchestrate the delivery: including but not limited to providing assistance with planning sprints, backlog grooming, and perform daily follow-ups with team members
β’ Contribute to code reviews actively, ensuring that high quality standards are met and deliverables are consistent with solution architecture, best practices and common coding guidelines
β’ Ensure consistency and timely delivery of teams technical implementation
β’ Steer the team towards achieving results based on priorities and milestones
β’ Suggest, implement, follow-up and tweak implementation and process improvements
β’ Act as sparring partner for CTO and business analyst to discuss and review business requirements, solution architecture, product roadmap, development processes and tools, etc.
Technical Skills and Experience:
β’ 5+ years of experience in implementation of Java enterprise and web applications based on Spring/JEE
β’ Proficient in Java and JavaScript
β’ Strong conceptual skills, ability to specify, visualize and communicate architectural aspects as well as component design (design principles, patterns, UML)
β’ Profound understanding of the entire Spring stack
β’ Solid understanding of microservices and contract first REST API design and versioning
β’ Relevant experience with relational databases (ideally Postgres)
β’ Good understanding of asynchronous event/message processing (Kafka, JMS/RabbitMQ)
β’ Proficient in data mapping and transformation (XML/JAXB, JSON/Jackson, ORM/Hibernate, Mapstruct)
β’ Familiar with Linux and Docker
β’ Solid understanding of Git and build/dependency management tools (Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, NPM)
