Senior Android Engineer (offline)

Madefire’s Motion BookTM publishing platform comprises a comprehensive suite of creative authoring tools, content ingestion services, content publishing systems, a digital marketplace and a broad variety of web-based, mobile, desktop and embedded client

Requirements:
* BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
* 5+ experience with Kotlin, Java, and good knowledge of C++
* Experience with Dependency injection tools (Dagger2 / Hilt), networking clients (Retrofit2)
* Android Jetpack components: Navigation, data binding, Room, LiveData, etc, Android NDK
* Knowledge of the native Oculus mobile SDK
* Google Play Services and Billing
* Rest API understanding and best practices
* Solid unit and functional tests, MVVM architecture
* Github processes and Project management tools
* Working in a startup, fast-paced team environment
* Designing robust software components
* Demonstrating design and UX sensibilities following Google’s Material Design Principles
* Fiddling with some aspects of graphics programmings (Metal, Vulkan, OpenGL, DirectX)
* Demonstrating prototype experiments with ARCore and the Oculus mobile SDK

Responsibilities:
* Establish engineering processes
* Automate routine tasks, and safeguard critical operations
* Optimize developer workflows, automate routine tasks, safeguard critical operations and mentor junior developers
* Contribute to ongoing product feature development and actively contribute to Madefire’s product and engineering infrastructure roadmaps
