Senior DBA (offline)

GlobalLogic is looking for experts, MSSQL DBAs with the whole package, applicative DBA and infrastructure DBA!

Department/Project Description:

Customer is a recognized leader in the OTT TV (Over the Top TV), OVP (Online Video Platform), EdVP (Education Video Platform) and EVP (Enterprise Video Platform) markets.

Job Description:

- 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA;
- Deep understanding of MSSQL performance tuning techniques for relational databases (deep understanding with Execution plans);
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with TSQL;
- + years of experience as a MSSQL Infrastructure DBA (a good experience with High availability Always-ON );
- OLTP Production DBA - must have to know how to handle crisis;
- Partition tables - Advantage;
- Microsoft SSIS - Advantage;
- PowerShell - Advantage;
- Understanding of Big Data technologies and solutions (Redshift/Athena/S3/Kinesis…) - Advantage;
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and loves challenges;
- Able to work independently.

Job Responsibilities:

- Most of the work is in AWS platform;
- Advise on the optimal database design by analyzing application behavior and business requirements;
- Proactively monitor and optimize database queries, processes, tables and resources;
- Initiate and lead cross-regions optimization processes;
- Write utilities and design dashboards that will help us maintain, monitor and optimize production database environment;
- Develop automation tools for large cluster maintenance;
- Face challenges such as scale, visibility and automation;
- Be involved in both development and infrastructure projects.
