Java developer (offline)

ITG is looking for a Strong Junior / Middle / Senior Java Developer for the full-time position in Lviv OR REMOTE

About our Client:

Company is a recognized leader in Supply Chain Planning and Optimization software solutions with a strong customer reference base (95%+ customer retention) and enviable market positioning from major analyst firms (e.g., Gartner, Nucleus Research). Referred to as a Supply Chain Planning Systems of Record (SCP-SOR), GAINS is a comprehensive software solution encompassing Demand Planning/Forecasting, Inventory Optimization, Replenishment Optimization, and SI&OP, delivered via SaaS Subscription.

The technology stack of the project:

- Data storage: PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server
- Backend: Java 8, Java EE 8
- Web frontend: Sencha Ext Js
- VCS: Git

As Java Engineer, you will

- Work alongside a highly motivated team of software engineers and academics implementing change in the supply chain industry.
- Translate challenges the business faces into technical solutions.
- Build and improve web applications for our customers using our frameworks and libraries
- Ensure the application architecture allows easy maintenance and support
- Tune the application performance by optimizing queries, storage and
algorithms
- Integrate the applications with 3rd party services.

Requirements:

- At least 1 year of experience in commercial software development using Java 8+
- In-depth knowledge of Java(Collections, Functional Programming,
Concurrency, JDBC)
- Understanding of OOP, design patterns and principles, the ability to apply
them.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and DBMS (MS SQLServer/PostgreSQL)
- Intermediate or higher level of English
- Experience with design and implementation of RESTful web services
- Methodical and reasoned approach to debugging and problem solving
- Git  is not a mystery to you.

Will be a plus:

- Experience in maintaining and debugging live software systems
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in the supply chain domain will be considered as huge advantage
- Experience with using Eclipse IDE
- Knowledge of and experience with Frontend technologies is also
desirable(Sencha is a big plus).
