The right candidate is expected to be experienced in interviewing project and program managers as well as PM assistants. The Head of PMO will perform regular staff reviews and coaching. Strong level of soft skills is required as the candidate is expected to be working closely with the other technical as well as sales, marketing and recruitment departments. This is a partnership position, so financial management of the department is also a part of responsibilities. The PMO departments is being established and will include about 10 specialists at its first phase.
Candidate requirements:
Education: MSc degree in any technical speciality is required, PhD is preferred
10+ years of experience in IT including project management, business analysis and software development or QA
Deep understanding of software development methodologies, requirements collection, project and resources planning, delivery management, risk assessment techniques, project documentation and reporting
Excellent understanding of testing methodologies and techniques
Deep knowledge of PM tools configuration and customization (such as Jira and Azure DevOps)
Excellent practical experience as a project manager or a program manager in projects with different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFE, LESS, etc.) and with different types of solutions (cloud, web, mobile and desktop applications)
Experience in building of PM processes, rules, policies and standards
Hands-on experience in conducting technical interviews
Experience in team leadership and mentoring
Practical experience in technical investigation and troubleshooting
Excellent pre-sales and presentation skills
Strong level of soft skills
Upper-intermediate+ English.
Certifications:
Active PMP is required
One of the following: PSM or CSM
One of the following: SAFE or LESS
Responsibilities:
Presenting company's expertise in PM sphere at the pre-sales phase
Performing requirements collection, producing estimations, providing consultancy services during pre-sales phase in cooperation with sales department
Setup of PM processes for all projects in cooperation with other heads of departments and PMs
Performing technical interviews, regular staff reviews
Forming and developing deep technical expertise of the department
Taking part in technical meetups, conferences as a speaker on behalf of the company
Assisting the marketing department in creation of case studies, articles, presentations for PMO department.
Preparation of administrative reports
