The Computer Management Assistant (CMA) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Embassy’s networks, mobile computing platforms and provides technical and customer support.

EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressively responsible experience in administrating and operating computer network systems.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be familiar with the following technologies: TCP/IP, IP subnetting. Good working knowledge of the following applications and systems is required: Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Windows Server 2012/ 2016/ 2019, Microsoft Office 2016/ Office 365. Basic knowledge of PowerShell is required. Due to the ever-changing nature of technology, the specific products listed are subject to update/change.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Applied Math, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, Telecommunications, Network Technology, Data Management, Software Engineering or Software Development is required.

LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge (writing/speaking/reading) in English* is required.

*This may be tested

Fluent (writing/speaking/reading) Ukrainian or Russian is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Developed ability in network administration, network design, scripting and application programming, installation planning and maintenance of computer equipment is necessary. Must have a proactive approach in addressing, troubleshooting, and analyzing system issues at post and developing sound solutions to achieve technical efficiency. Incumbent must be able to work independently when required as well as in a team environment. Incumbent must be operationally flexible and able to adapt to change. Good communication skills to explain complex issues ranging from IT managers to end-users. Must be able to lift heavy items up to 20 kg., such as servers or other hardware parts.

Agency Benefits:
Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Kyiv, Ukraine may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
