Scala Developer (offline)

Conductor is moving towards a micro-service architecture. On that note, we’re looking for middle/senior/lead Scala developers to implement loosely coupled micro-service subsystems. Each subsystem is an independent project where you’ll have a good deal of freedom to choose with your team the tools and methodologies that work best within your group. One such group is looking for a backend developer with the qualifications above.

Job responsibilities:
• Continuously plan and execute on a product roadmap
• Create short product specifications and user stories. Oversee implementation by the engineering groups through launch
• Functioning as the Product Owner for a cross-functional Agile Scrum development team — managing the entire feature and product life cycle from planning through development and launch
• Working hand-in-hand with user experience and engineering teams to turn the product vision into reality
• Working closely with Product Management and technical leadership to make sure that the project plan is feasible and followed
• Collaborating with stakeholders about features and product deliverables, including gathering feature requirements and managing expectations

Job requirements:
• 4+ years of professional programming experience
• Good understanding of core Scala concepts and libraries
• Experience in the complete life-cycle of a Scala project from conception to production and all that it entails
• Worked in an agile environment
• Strong spoken communication skills in English
