Software Engineer (VB.NET) (offline)

These applications support key functions around the lending workflow for both personal and commercial lending. The work will include development of new features as well as maintenance of these key applications.
Responsibilities:
Design and prototype activities by working with internal teams and clients to distill user stories; reviewing user stories to identify key functionalities and develop functional design specifications and documenting / demonstrating solutions.

Support and maintain one of their key on-premise VB.Net (some C#) applications, coding fixes, features, implementing changes and solutions based on defined specs and requirements.

Mandatory Skills:
• Experience building Microsoft WinForm applications
• Strong OOP coding skills using C# and/or VB.Net
• Strong SqlServer developer skills
• Experience using Agile methodologies
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Thorough understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles
• Experience with Object Relational Mapping tools

Nice-to-Have Skills:
Preferred skills• Experience writing VBA code
• Team leadership, including peer code reviews and mentoring
• DevExpress WinForm components and XPO
• Redgate SQL developer tools

Desired skills:
• Git version control
• SqlServer DBA skills
• .Net runtime environment
• Experience with Azure DevOps, especially build pipelines
• Delivery and maintenance of mission critical WinForm products
• Experience in the financial or banking industry
• 5+ years in medium to larger sized development teams
• Strong experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD)
• Experience using Dependency Injection (DI) tools
