About the role:

The job of a Product Designer is to envision how people experience our product and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspiring, refined, and even magical. As a Product Designer at Bizzabo, you’ll take on complex tasks and transform them into elegant, intuitive, inspiring, and easy-to-use designs for our customers. Achieving this goal requires collaboration with other Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them, and ensure that the final product answers their needs and delights them.

As a Product Designer, you will be a creative problem solver and a deep thinker. You will work with the Experience, DEV, and Product teams, as well as other cross-functional partners to iterate and optimize the user experience and drive product excellence.

Our UX team includes designers and researchers who are passionate about elegance, quality, usability, and simplicity. We work in collaborative teams to solve complex challenges and craft experiences that highlight our product's unique capabilities. Our work is customer-centric, and everything we create aims to meet our customers’ needs and expectations.


- Work with UX Designers, Product Managers, Engineering, and others to create a design vision that solves problems across a broad spectrum of users/businesses.
- Create use cases, storyboards, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes to guide design and development.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and tech constraints. Drive the UX process across a broad set of stakeholders.
- Communicate interaction concepts, conceptual ideas, and design rationale with clarity, persuasion, and a user-centred design process.
- Guide DEV to faithfully implement fantastic experiences, adhering to Bizzabo's Experience principles.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, and equivalent practical experience to an academic degree with 3+ years of experience.

Preferred qualifications:

- Education in Design, HCI, Interaction, and/or relevant industry experience.
Work experience using prototyping tools.
- Experience designing robust and powerful B2C and B2B applications.
Excellent visual design skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen, articulate positions, and advocate designs.
- Experience using design systems.

Our Technology.

In Bizzabo we are passionate and curious about new technologies. Our server architecture is microservices-based, running on a Kubernetes cluster, written in Java and Kotlin, using MySQL, Elasticsearch, BigQuery, and Kafka as data sources, and we are using BI tools for advanced analytics.

Our front end is node.js, next.js, and React, and our mobile app is written in React Native.

Bizzabo has all of the tools marketers need to manage their event programs and reach their audiences, wherever they are—including an enterprise-grade virtual offering, event websites, powerful digital agendas, registration and contact management, a fully-branded mobile app, promotional capabilities, attendee networking, and engagement tools, cross-event analytics, an onsite solution, integrations with over 2,000 other solutions, and enhanced ticket types and access controls that help organizers better personalize the attendee experience.

Responding to COVID-19, we quickly pivoted the platform to support virtual events by partnering with the enterprise-grade streaming provider Kaltura. While this virtual solution works out-of-the-box as a fully embedded player with on-demand capabilities, it can also be integrated with other streaming solutions like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts, Vimeo, and YouTube—giving organizers the flexibility of working with the technology of their choice.

With Bizzabo Insights organizers can easily analyze their event audiences through dimensions such as company, industry, interest, geography, and job title. Other Insights dashboards provide visualizations around revenue, registrations, engagement, and—through integrations with a CRM—return on event (ROE). With a single hub for data across the event lifecycle, Bizzabo now helps event professionals to measure and build on their event success better than ever before.

Finally, Bizzabo’s new Partners and Speakers Solutions help organizers efficiently manage sponsors and exhibitors and increase the likelihood of future partnerships through powerful task management capabilities that keep partners on track. The Partners Solution also surfaces audience and engagement data to demonstrate event ROI for sponsors and in turn increases renewal likelihood.
