QA Automation Engineer (offline)

Responsibilities:

Translate requirements and technical specifications into effective automated tests
Full end-to-end testing, writing test scenarios and cases, troubleshooting problems, creating and tracking defects, and related data
Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders
Bug life cycle management - defect tracking, reporting, analysis, and verification
Provide test support for the development team throughout all stages of development
Regularly communicate QA status reports to the team, Product Owner

Requirements
Technical skills and experience

Solid understanding of BDD principles and tools, e.g. SpecFlow, Gherkin
Design and write automated UI and API tests, e.g. C#, Selenium, JavaScript
Create test data, e.g. SQL
Good understanding of defect tracking tools, e.g. JIRA

Desirable
Experience working with ALM, CD, CI and build/deployment tools, e.g. JIRA, TeamCity
Experience of testing complex distributed applications
Experience with web services testing and cloud platforms, e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
Experience in performance/load/longevity testing
A team will have one individual with sufficient understanding of Agile practices to function as a Scrum Master
A team will provide their own DevOps with instruction from the Platform Team
A team will provide their own automated testing with instruction from the Platform Team
Penetration testing will be provided by employing an external agency.
