About project:
VELMA’s aim is to quantify knowledge and enable fully explainable recommendations by making use of knowledge graphs. Next to product development, the AI & data team also works on client projects varying from optimizing ETL processes to the implementation of recommendation engines and chatbots.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Excellent knowledge of best practices and coding patterns.
- You have deep knowledge of Python, Flask, Docker, relational databases, and web services
- Tensorflow knowledge is a plus.
- Experience working with at least one of the cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus
- You have a strong sense of quality in terms of code style.
- You love digging into technically complex problems to troubleshoot and figure out a solution.
- Understand microservices architecture.
- Experience with Celery or Asyncio is a plus.
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning and problem-solving.
- Team player.

Responsibilities:
- Propose improvements to software architecture, source control workflows, CI/CD processes, and perform code reviews to ensure exceptional code quality.
- Implement new features according to user stories and product plan
- Cover code with tests
- Search for improvements and improve performance of the code
