Senior QA Engineer (offline)

Our client is the leader in Application & Data Security, is looking for a test engineer to join our team. Our quality engineering goes beyond testing, the teams engage in every phase of the software development life cycle, advocate for the customer.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer;
Knowledge in Databases (Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, DB2, etc’);
Experience in Linux/UNIX including bash scripting;
Experience in test design and execution for frontend and backend software;
Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes;
Networking experience in TCP/IP;
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently;
Creative, innovative, versatile individual, willing and able to explore new territories and solve hard problems;
Motivated, Curious, Team Player;
Intermediate+ English.

AS A PLUS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences/Electronics/ Program;
ISTQB certification;
Ability to analyze traffic captures in-depth;
Experience in Security domain;
Experience with programming and/or scripting languages (Perl/Python/java);
Experience in Load testing and load testing tools — (e.g. JMeter).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Taking ownership of new features — designing and executing test plans, examining both functionality aspects and usability aspects, verifying the bugs, and running additional tests to make sure the new features are released in high quality;
Perform manual and automated regression testing of existing features;
Identifying different types of bugs, root cause analysis as well as solving complex framework problems;
Handling field bugs, work for reproductions, and be part of private patch confirmation;
Participate in architecture & design discussions, work closely with R&D teams;
Collaborate with other team members during the development process;
Implement quality control methodologies to ensure quality assurance standards;
Acting as a focal point for knowledge of the product — Assisting other groups in the organization to understand the current behavior of the product;
Get involved in TE training and product training inside the team.
