Our client is ViaPlay, a group’s premium online video streaming service, and a leading on-demand streaming service in the Nordics. The company offers the most popular TV series, a vast international movie catalog, and a world-class selection of live sports events, including Premier League, Champions League, and NHL.
Project
You will be a part of a Viaplay project, an online video streaming service. It offers subscription and transactional video-on-demand services. In other words, users of the service can either purchase access to content through a monthly subscription or rent and buy movies.
The project allows working with various technologies, development practices as well as experimenting with modern approaches. All architecture decisions and development are upon us. You will also be able to communicate with the client directly.
The product consists of multiple applications; some of them are monoliths, some are microservices. All of the applications are using the AWS cloud ecosystem.
Responsibilities - Main test docs creation: checklists, sign-offs, etc. Design and maintain test scenarios - Process bugs/issues: create, track status changes, verify when they are resolved, etc. - Perform Smoke/Functional/Compatibility/Regression testing - Test results analysis and communication with the team and PO - Continuous testing process improvement - Effectively collaborate with customer-side PO to deliver full business value - Effectively collaborate with team members to achieve the best results - Own activities planning and required efforts estimation
Requirements - At least 3 years of experience in software testing of web applications - Strong knowledge and understanding of software testing concepts and practices - 3+ years of experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment - Good understanding of the objectives and techniques of planning/estimation - Ability to interpret business requirements and functional requirements with minimal documentation - Good technical skill and intention to develop yourself in automation testing (Java) - Experience in direct communication with the client and/or client’s team - English – at least Intermediate or higher
Would be a plus: - Basic understanding of OOP principles - Experience in API testing - Experience working with Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, any programming language, and AWS
Personal profile - Strong communication and reporting skills - Good problem-solving skill - Good self-organization be able to switch between tasks quickly without focus loss
