Python/Django for US Sports Data Site (offline)

We love sports and run lineups.com. We've been in the industry for the past 7 years. We run a PostgreSQL, Django Framework on AWS with an Angular front-end. We are looking for a Python expert that has a wide range of experience with some larger data sets.

We process a lot of tasks, apis and caching daily to provide updated sports scores, statistics, and projections. Our team is small and you have the opportunity to work on a lot of different projects. We move quickly, but also take time to do proper unit testing and produce quality, long-term code. We are looking for someone that thinks about the best solution and is able to have an honest conversation about the best approach.

We are not looking for people with an ego that think they know everything. We are all willing to learn and become better through honest communication. We use a project management system to manage our projects and have daily video conferencing to ensure we are all on the same page.

We create machine learning models and simulations to predict sports games. We do not sell this information, so we are not reliant on it, but it's a fun way we build tools. If you have experience with Pandas it is a plus.

It would be ideal if you have some interest in US Sports such as NFL and NBA and if not, you must have a desire to learn the domain.
