We are looking for a Middle/Senior Ruby engineer to join our Quoting Service team. The Quoting Service is a core product that is integrated with dozens of Insurance Companies, other 3rd party vendors, and provides our customers with the best available insurance options.
You will work side-by-side with a stable team of experienced developers. You can expect a steady amount of meaningful work that has a massive impact & influence outcomes for our business and customers.
Day to day duties:
— You will take part in the full product development cycle (define problems, prioritize features, build long-lasting architecture, refactoring)
— Collaborate with our cross-functional teams to ship new, impactful features of our products to the market
— Communicate with our 3rd party partners to work on new and improve the existing API integrations
— Write a lot of code, write a lot of unit tests 😉
— You’ll develop a product which saves time and money for thousands of people
— You’ll work in a flat structured, product-oriented culture
— Quoting Team is one of the earliest adopters of new work approaches/technologies. Our team is always open to and looking for improvements in processes/tech/design
Must have skills:
— 3+ years of experience with Ruby and Rails
— Experience in building integration with 3-rd party services
— Experience with continuous integration, test automation, and monitoring
— English Upper-Intermediate and above. Ability to communicate your thoughts clearly
— Autonomy. The ability to make, own and carry out decisions
— Motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment
— Passion for writing simple, clean, well-tested, and efficient code
— Integrity, reliability, easy-going personality with a good sense of humor
