Front-End React Developer (offline)

Summary Job Description

The front-end web developer combines the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities include the translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to code that produces the visual elements of the notiphy application. The front-end developer works with the UI/UX designer and bridges the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the notiphy application loos as well as how it works.

2+ years of commercial experience

Responsibilities:

- Developing new user-facing features
- Building reusable code and libraries for current and future use
- Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimizing application for maximum speed and scalability
- Assuring that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
- Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders as necessary

Skills:

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
- Good understanding of server-side pre-processing platforms
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks like jQuery and React JS
- Experience with React Native (very important)
- Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, etc.
- Knowledge of image authoring tools
Note: A UI/UX designer is expected to deliver finished resources for the developer to incorporate into the application. However, quite often, a front-end web developer needs to make small adjustments.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
