Back-End Developer (JavaScript+AWS) (offline)

This time, we’re looking for a JavaScript developer — person who is interested in learning a lot of new technologies, like Scala, AWS, Lambda, etc. We will be glad you to join the family and work with a client based out of Zurich, Switzerland.
Our client is an innovative Swiss P2P lending platform connecting credit seekers with investors — efficient, transparent and secure. It’s the largest and fastest-growing platform, and you will help them reinvent credit by creating smart algorithms and a stable, scaling platform.
In our collaboration model, you will work and communicate directly with the development team on the client’s side.
Responsibilities:
— Take over serverless based infrastructure setup and management on AWS, including Lambdas, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, etc.
— Manage and enhance the terraform based CI/CD setup of our services and design and implement tools to automate operational aspects of the build and deployment infrastructure
— Support development efforts and write services in Typescript and Kotlin
What we’re looking for
— 3+ year of experience working with JavaScript
— Experience building scalable infrastructures on public cloud infrastructure (e.g AWS, Azure, or GoogleCloud)
— Proficient with containerization (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes)
— Strong knowledge of Typescript, Postgres, Scala
— Willing to learn functional programming
— Level of English — upper-intermediate or higher
— You love borsch!
Bonus
— Experience with React framework
— Experience within finance
— Strong communication skills
— Naming five or more dishes that include beetroot, besides borsch.
