About the client: Our client is a UK based dynamic FinTech company specializing in Portfolio Management owned by a big European hedge fund.

Our team: We are building a new team from scratch to work with this new client.
About the project: Client's product development group is currently made up of around 25 React and C# developers, organised into feature teams, with each feature team containing a mix of front and back-end skills. The client is looking to grow the group to keep up with growing business.
The stack is comprised of React/Redux/TypeScript frontend, C# .Net Core services which call into a proprietary C++ quant library. Hosted on Linux in AWS with large calculations distributed over many instances, messaging via Redis.
Source control, CI, CD and issue tracking are all done in GitLab. Daily deployments to production using Terraform and CloudFormation to provision AWS Elastic Container Service clusters, Elastic Beanstalk environments and API Gateways.
Features and prioritisation come from a client side Product Owner, coordination of Kanban workflow from a client side Programme Manager.
About the role: BAU (business as usual) role assumes being flexible and swithching between multiple components to implement small features or fix bugs.
About the work conditions: The project will be operating in WFH mode for the time of quarantine. Working hours can be 10 to 18:30 or 11 to 19:30, preferably aligned with UK based client team.
Communicating with client on requirements clarification.
Proposing the solution, component design.
Programming in C#, SQL, TyepScript.
Migrate data analysis and reporting done using Excel to web application.
Maintain and support system for data exchange with external data providers (via FTP, SFTP, AWS S3 etc.)
ationalisation and extension of core systems covering a range of support areas including Fund Control, Middle Office, and Quantitative Development teams. The role includes scope to shape the framework/toolkit for the firm's strategic business.
Work on the core systems which includes trade databases, time series databases, C# libraries, links to external data providers (via ftp/web services/APIs), Front Office reporting, and trade reconciliation.
Work on various web applications used across for firm for reporting, managing static configuration data, and internal trade storage system.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong programming skills in C#
Experience in working with SQL (ideally MSSQL)
Experience in developing web services using .NetCore
Experience with Entity Framework or Dapper
Degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics (2:1 or higher).
At least 5 years of work experience in software development
Experience with Object Oriented Programming.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment, providing both tactical and strategic solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Interest in full stack development
Experience with web services
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with React/Angular.JS, Typescript, HTML, CSS, ASP.NET
Experience with or an interest in developing for AWS or other cloud services
Work Experience in financial services industry
Experience in working with GUI frameworks such as React.
English: B2 Upper Intermediate
