Senior DevOps Engineer (offline)

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Kharkiv team!

As a Senior DevOps Engineer with GeoComply on our GeoGuard Shield team, you will be working on high-level technologies. This role will be accountable for automating processes between software development and IT teams by using modern solutions in order to ensure our product is at the highest quality. Our DevOps team covers high availability, redundancy, CI/CD, cluster solutions and many other solutions.

The candidate should have a solid knowledge of why, where and how the following solutions are used: AWS, GCP, Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, GoLang, Python, Bash, NoSQL and Service Discovery. Experience with ELK Stack, performance optimization (eBPF, perf, etc.) or SMART criteria are strong assets.

As the Senior specialist, you should be ready to make the deployment plan for the solution, provide details about advantages and weak spots of the proposed solutions/technologies in order to ensure we get an industry-inclusive outcome and profit from implementing them into our best practices. The person we are looking for has a strong desire to investigate issues and provide a comprehensive plan of the steps we need to apply to avoid those issues in the future.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities include (but not limited to):

- Plan new infrastructure requirements, maintain current infrastructure and ensure automation scripts are adequately planned for and created

- Write and maintain guidelines outlining steps required to prepare and support the environments

- Configure networks and storage

- Monitor GeoGuard Shield servers and applications

- Maintain and troubleshoot environments (development, staging, and production)

- Respond to outages related to the DevOps team

- Collaborate with development and analytics teams to troubleshoot software-related issues

- Day-to-day management of Jenkins setup (adding new jobs, supporting multiple plugins and ensure reserve copies are consistent and in place at all times

- Continuous development of Docker containers for various purposes

- Continuous improvement of our products' security, stability, and optimization

Skills and qualifications:

- 3 years’ relevant experience

- Experience with cloud infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services, Rackspace or Google Cloud Platform

- Strong experience with version control systems such as Git

- Intermediate understanding and hands-on experience with containers

- Comprehensive knowledge of security and compliance is an asset

- Intermediate written and spoken technical English enough to discuss issues with teams remotely
