Senior DevOps Engineer (offline)

Required skills
Production experience in:
- Bash / shell / Linux administration
- Operating cloud platforms
AWS technologies (EC2, IAM, ELB, Autoscaling Groups) is a plus
- Docker containerization
Container orchestration tooling (EKS/Kubernetes) is a plus
- Writing infrastructure-as-code / configuration management tools
Terraform, Ansible, Helm is a plus
Programming in any high-level language (e.g. Python, Ruby) is a plus
- Operating and maintaining databases
Cassandra, MongoDB or Druid is a plus
Sharding, replication, and tuning of databases is a plus
- Implementing and extending CI/CD systems
Jenkins Pipelines / Groovy is a plus
- Operating centralized monitoring and alerting tools
ELK and Prometheus is a plus
- Utilizing a version control system
Git and Github is a plus
- Bachelor or master’s degree in CS
- Good communication skills in English

Responsibilities

- Work with a distributed DevOps team across Kyiv and Seattle
- Write infrastructure-as-code
- Configure CI/CD and troubleshoot issues related to testing and deployment
- Support development and site reliability
- Tune open-source and proprietary services for scale
- Proactive participation in process improvement and process automation
- Participate in releases and deployment to various environments
- Sustain the process of knowledge sharing with the related teams
- Configure network and security boundaries
- Participate in an on-call rotation for remediation and escalation of critical issues

Our client is a US-based company, is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to be a part of our Kyiv-based Engineering Office.
Our client helps thousands of companies use their mobile applications to build deeper, more meaningful relationships with millions of people around the world. We believe software is powering more relationships than ever before and that we can help make software about People. We’re building the platform to power customer communication for modern business.
Technology stack is built in Golang, Ruby on Rails, NodeJS and Scala, running on Cassandra, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Druid, and Kafka. We containerize and deploy with Kubernetes on AWS.
You will be part of a DevOps team responsible for service delivery, reliability, scalability and monitoring.
