SAP Commercial (SD) Lead (offline)

This opening is with our UK partner - an international company delivering IT solutions and expertise to the global pharmaceutical industry. HQ in the UK, with subsidiaries and customers all around Europe, Latin America, Canada, and beyond.

What is it about?
The Strategic Applications (SA) team is responsible for delivering and supporting global ERP applications to support the client's network of companies. You will be the one to provide technical and subject matter expertise for the SAP S/4HANA platform for the Sales and Distribution and other commercial modules. The role will partner with the business to establish fit to standard processes that can be delivered in the SAP suite of tools with minimum customization required.

Specific duties & responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise in the SAP S4 SD module and all related processes
- Partner with business stakeholders to define solutions that are fit to standard for SAP
- Capture and enrich business requirements to provide value to the organization
- Define process flows and mappings that represent the end state business process for a technical design
- Author and refine RICEFW specifications to be provided to third-party developers to create solutions
- Write and execute Functional Test Scripts to validate configured and developed solutions
- Provide vendor management support for the overall management and performance of the application support vendor
- Lead root cause analysis activities to resolve and prevent issues within the ERP suite
of applications
- Support design, development and troubleshooting activities within the ERP application ecosystem (including the ability to trace and debug issues within the ABAP code)
- Identify opportunities to improve or enhance the SAP service over time to provide better value for money
- Understand and support the use of Fiori in an effective way
- Other relevant duties


Key relationships in this role:
In order to be successful in any role in IT, being a strong team worker who collaborates to achieve individual, business and IT goals is critical. In addition, there is a requirement to build and maintain strong working relationships with the following job holders: IT Global Business Partners; Commercial and Sales Business Process Owners; Head of Business Intelligence; IT Architecture; Vendor Management Lead; Third-Party Application Management team; IT Service Desk Lead.

Skills & experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP SD with multiple End to End Implementations or Rollouts of SAP ERP with at least one of them being on SAP S/4HANA
- An additional 2 years of functional/domain expertise in the areas of trading/distribution entities is desired
- Should be fluent in English language – speaking and writing, any additional European language skills would be preferred
- Should be self-driven and work independently and with teams as needed
- Customer-facing, interact and collaborate with teams that are not co-located
- Experience to conduct business workshops, data migration workshops and playback sessions with business users and have the ability to elicit the requirements
- Ability to convince the business owners to adopt Fit-to-Standard processes
- Ability to analyze, identify and provide gap-fit solutions for any Local/Statutory Requirements
- Should provide the functional requirements/specifications to the technical teams and validate the solutions built.
- Design and document test plans, test cases, test results, process manuals, data templates
- Provide training to trainers and support trainers in delivering end-user training
- Experience in configuring document types, number ranges, account determination, Inter Company Sales, credit management and SD Integration with MM (Inventory Management) and FI (O2C) modules
- Should have experience in handling Tax configurations, master data, pricing, discounts, O2C process configuration for various types of sales processes like domestic, exports, free goods, samples, sales returns, credit/debit memo etc, Batch Recall
- Should have experience in working with interfaces to 3rd Party systems like 3PL for orders/deliveries/billing
