Primary responsibility is to provide expertise in local, wide area and wireless network architecture, design and implementation, unified communications, VoIP and video, network security and tier 3 support.

Requirements and duties:

• 8+ years hands on experience in architecture, design, implementation and support of infrastructure in a large
complex corporate environment
• Network architecture design, optimization, capacity planning, maintenance, and support
• Cisco UC (CUCM/Unity/ExpressWayC-E/IM&Pressent/))
• Cisco Contact Center(CVP/CUIC/Finesse/HDS/VXML).
• Debug and troublushutting CVP/ICM scripts
• Nice Record System and WFM
• High availability, load balancing and disaster recovery design of networks and collaborative systems
• Designing and optimizing data, VoIP and video networks
• Expert level skills in Cisco IOS and IP networking including VLANs, dynamic routing protocols, firewall rules, wired and wireless security (IPS, IDS, Hardening)
• Expert level configurations of routers, switches, firewalls, gateways, collaboration systems
• Experience with system and stress testing, lab environments and installation
• Experience in providing senior level/tier 3 support
• Experience in configuration and management of network monitoring and alerting systems
• Experience with VoIP, queues, call distribution, PRI, SIP trunks
• Successful track record in analysis, design and execution of interdepartmental business processes
• Demonstrates leadership with strategic influencing skills
• Experience supporting organizations with SAP applications is advantageous
• Adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Strong negotiating and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to coach and motivate junior level staff
• Customer focused and a team player with the attitude to
provide excellent customer service
• Experience with ServiceNow an asset
• Experience with BYOD and mobile device integration an
asset (BES, Cisco)

Skills:
• Expert knowledge of Cisco switches, routers and ASA firewalls;
• Mastery-level understanding of IP networking
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft products, including Active Directory
and Exchange
• Strong understanding and experience with unified communication technologies and
protocols including presence, SIP, QoS, voicemail, MS Outlook integration, call centre,
voice recording, VoIP and video (teleconferencing)
• Practical experience within the disciplines of storage area networks, server, and hypervisor
technologies at a foundational level
• Strong incident management
• Works on continuous improvement and optimization activities and communicates back
to management
• Configuration and maintenance of Cisco networking hardware and applications
• In-depth knowledge and experience with TCP/IP, SIP, QoS, IPSec, CA, security
certificates, RADIUS, AD, DNS, DHCP, MPLS
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong customer service orientation
with team-oriented spirit;
• Ability to lift/move 20-30lb equipment
• Knowledge of OpenText systems (optional)
• Blackberry Enterprise Server 10 (optional)
• Knowledge of Call Centre application
(optional)
• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Cisco certifications CCIE, CCNP (R&S, collaborations, wireless, security) or equivalent
• MCSE (desired)

Network and Collaborative Systems Design, Enhancement and Management :
• Work closely with IT staff and business to ensure efficient and optimal working of corporate networks and collaborative systems
• Study, recommend, initiate and procure solutions for expanded capacity, features and capabilities, or business requirements through RFP/RFQ process
• Monitor, troubleshoot, identify and remedy areas of congestion, degraded quality, degraded speed, or compromised security
• Monitoring and management of infrastructure for continuous uptime and SLA maintenance
• Work with project team to define support, ensuring knowledge transfer plan and training take place before projects move to production
• Share knowledge and learning with other senior and junior networking group members, serving as a conduit for knowledge transfer
Tier 3 Support, Risk Management & Compliance:
• Work quickly on open tickets assigned to group
• Participates in impact analysis where applicable for related ticket issues
• Work to ensure support processes and tools are in place for support
• Follow the incident management processes and procedures and provide valuable feedback to help continuously improve the processes
• Participate in the review of Audit results and compliance action plans for IT group
• Reports on risks, trends and service gaps to IT leadership
Communications and Collaboration:
• Communicate IT Network, Security and Collaboration policies and procedures to appropriate audiences
• Creates effective correspondence, instruction and guidance to all company employees when needed
• Works with business and IT to set proper expectations for provided support i.e. expected completion of work items
• Create and actively maintain network and collaboration technical configuration documents and topology maps
Resource Management :
• Provide effective guidance to junior staff
• Identifies and initiates corrective actions related to operations support function (as required)
• Identify gaps for formal training to be administered to staff
• Work with other Senior IT staff to get the appropriate resources to completed required tasks.
